Songs like this have cemented Dire Straits as my #2 band, right behind Pink Floyd. A haunting piece, yet relaxing.
Love Over Gold may only consist of five songs, but each one is amazing.
First 7″ I ever bought. It still stands the test of time.
I quite sure the lyric goes: ‘..it’s in a diary..’, not ‘..I send a diary..’
That’s how I remember it from the booklet, anyway.

Dire straits is an amaizing band, almost as good as Metallica!
‘not a big Straights fan ,but this and Brothers in arms are excellent tracks.
The ending is really creepy to listen to at night with the bass and guitar, but this song is great and one of Dire Straits best.
