“Gunslinger, PI” Official Trailer

July 6th, 2010

This was my first film, a form of self film school. It’s a 117-minute detective noir/comedy/fantasy/sci-fi/romance/action movie about a cowboy who gets warped through time in a meteor accident and then becomes a notorious private investigator with a talking car for a girlfriend. It follows five days of his life as he works on a murder investigation for an allegedly Irish mob boss and discovers several truths about life. It was screened only once for an audience of 200 non-paying customers in Boise, Idaho. It is now for sale on Amazon and Createspace. Distributed by Tubemogul.

Frank Delvington: PI

April 18th, 2010

My final video project for my first year at Humber College, film and media production. A 5 minute monologue, with no on screen dialogue allowed. It’s a parody of the old film noir detective films. Frank Delvington (Jordan De Biasi) is a rock brained, bumbling, private investigator who loves everything there is to love about his job. The only problem is, hes not very good at it. When times get tough, Frank is forced to make the pain staking decision of whether or not he is actually cut out for the world of private investigating. In pursuit of the answers, Frank is whisked away into his most dangerous case yet, the case of the stolen GPS. Duane Eddy - Peter Gunn Theme

November 17th, 2009

The title character (played by Craig Stevens) is a private investigator in the classic film noir tradition, which was a popular genre on American TV in the late 1950s. However, a few traits differentiate him from the standard hard-boiled detectives, such as Sam Spade or Philip Marlowe. Gunn was a sophisticated “hipster”, a dapper dresser who loved cool jazz; where other gumshoes were often coarse, Peter Gunn was portrayed as the epitome of “cool”. He operated in a nameless waterfront city, …
