SCTV, 2/11/83 - The first episode of “Vic Arpeggio: Private Investigator” - Pt. 1 of 2 - Vic Hedges in a hilarious parody of “Johnny Staccato” and other 50s private eye shows. Here, Vic is hired by Mr. Defonzio de la Giacalini, aka Mr. D, a wealthy man, (literally a bull in a china shop - check out the Ming Dynasty vase), convinced someone is out to kill him. Also present is his sultry daughter, Velma. But Vic is torn between his gigs as a Jazz Sax player and his investigative work. When he returns from the evening’s gig, Mr. D is dead. Joe Flaherty, Eugene Levy and Andrea Martin.
